2006 Southeastern Australia - Sauvignon Blanc ($10)
An elegant sauvignon blanc. Steely, with aromas and flavors of grass, herbs, pepper and jalepeƱo. Nice intensity. Good acid balance. Long finish.
 
Clos La Chance

2006 Central Coast - Sauvignon Blanc ($16)
A sauvignon blanc with limited appeal. Round and soft. Lacks bright acidity. A bit dull. Varietally incorrect.
 
Fieldstone

2006 Alexander Valley - Sauvignon Blanc ($16)
Bright, crisp and clean nose. Notes of grapefruit and lemongrass. Some tired apple flavors. Rough texture.

2006 Napa Valley - Sauvignon Blanc ($20)
An elegant sauvignon blanc. Showy, with notes of grapefruit, pineapple, peach and pear. Medium complexity.

2006 Slusser Road Vineyard, RRV, Russian River Valley - Sauvignon Blanc ($17)
A good outdoor barbecue sauvignon blanc. Nice flavors and aromas. Bright, with appealing citrus notes. Nice mouth-feel.

2006 Napa Valley - Sauvignon Blanc ($16)
An elegant style of sauvignon blanc. Notes of grapefruit, guava, gooseberry and mineral. Nice mouth-feel.

2006 California - Sauvignon Blanc ($11)
A sauvignon blanc with a nice concentration of flavors. Bright, with notes of grapefruit, gooseberry and mineral.
 
Sauvignon Republic

18 Russian River Valley - Sauvignon Blanc ($2,006)
Controversial. Proponents like its bright, citrus style. Detractors said it had off aromas and was one-dimensional.
 
Selby

2006 Sonoma County - Sauvignon Blanc ($15)
Floral, with a creamy, round texture. Nice intensity. Good length. Notes of grass, hay and a hint of butterscotch.
