Start/finish: Cheese Factory on Petaluma-Point Reyes Road

Time and difficulty: Approximately 3-3 1/2 hours at 10 mph. Point Reyes-Petaluma Road is narrow with limited shoulders to no shoulders at all.

Notes: Ride through the sleepy town of Nicascio and explore Lucas Valley into Novato. This route is suitable for experienced and traffic-tolerant cyclists.

Route: Take a right on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road, left on Nicasio Valley Road, left on Lucas Valley Road, left on Miller Creek. Cross Las Gallinas Road, enter bike path and take to end. Take right on Alameda del Prado, take left on Ignacio Boulevard, right on Sunset, left on South Novato Boulevard, right on Grant. Take break. Return: Retrace to Grant, take right on South Novato Boulevard, which becomes Novato Boulevard; take left on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. Take right to Cheese Factory and starting point.
